The Display is probably my favourite part, its big and bright and makes watching videos and multitasking much better. Performance is also really smooth, apps open fast and I havent noticed much lag so far. Battery life has been pretty good for me, although heavy use does drain it quicker like you would expect. The Hinge feels solid and the overall Durability seems good, but I still find myself being a bit careful with a foldable phone. Overall I like it a lot, especially for work and multitasking. Its expensive but if you actually use the big screen then I think it makes more sense.

This phone is great as a tablet replacement. You can literally use it in a pinch as a laptop replacement if you have the right software and bluetooth keyboard. Apart from that, playing games, doom scrolling social media and watching movies are way better than a normal phone. Battery life is still abit of a letdown with heavy use, but I am sure it will improve in future iterations. Can't ditch that powerbank yet. And the cameras may not be as good as the flagship slab phones, but its competent and best of all you can lay it flat and fold the phone like a "tripod" of sort. And do get a case that covers thing hinge when the phone is folded.

I've been using a Fold since the Fold 1. (Wow, how much time has passed.) What I love most is the size of the screen and the multitasking. It truly is a multitasking beast for a phone. 3 apps opened at 1 time, pop-up multitasking and split screen multitasking. The longer battery life is also a huge improvement for me. I need a phone to last me as long as the day. And I also needed it to charge fast. Both wireless and plugged in. Overall it's a great phone. If the Tri-Fold was easily available to T-Mobile, I'd try that next.

The material improvements in form factors are noticeable (thinner lighter hinge opening, crease...). The camera performance is an obviously improvement. Everything else is a incremental improvement. I would normally upgrade primary phone every three years (Z fold 3 still works fine but feels like a brick compared to Z Fold 6) but the upgraded form and cameras had me have a look at the Z Fold 8. Whist I miss the S Pen, it's not a productive killer for me. The Z Fold 8 upgrade was worth bringing my upgrade forward. After 2 months it's a keeper (may retire the Z Fold 3 :-) ).

It's not worth the upgrade. It's still the same hardware except the battery last a little longer, from what I read. The OS isn't ready 100% yet. I'm a month in and the new "warranty and care" feature still doesn't work and finally the "!" Beside the software update disappeared even though there have been no updates. Long story short, unless you are going to get the the base Fold8 passport style, which is a downgrade, just stick with the Fold7, and buy it from a different retailer.

When it's folded, I actually enjoy the narrower aspect of the cover screen that doesn't feel too wide in my hand. When it's unfolded, I can use the screen real estate for productivity by having both email and calendar open side by side, or I can use it for watching sport and talking rubbish with my friends at the same time. Very happy with my first foldable, and I feel like this is going to have a similar effect on me as the first time I started using dual displays with my PC: can't go back to one screen now.

They just keep getting better and more durable. Easy to grab and has a nice snap feel. The only reason I didnt grab the last year model was because of the battery and the fast charge capability. But now this new phone has 45 watt charge speed and 5000 mAh, just like the S26 ultra. And they werent lying about the improvements they made to the inner screen. You can barely see the crease and it has anti reflection on it too. Being able to also multi-task with google and notes is amazing. I will be sticking with this phone for as long as I can.

I LOVE the Folds!! I got the Fold8-Ultra (upgraded from the Fold5) for the extra display space! It's beautiful, and flat, and matte! BUT... that camera cutout!!! An icon-sized black hole on your videos, all your videos, positioned so that it shows up in almost any way you turn your phone or adjust the screen. There *IS* a way to add a black border (through the OS) that runs down the whole side so that you don't notice the glaring black dot, but then ... that defeats the whole purpose of the additional real estate on the screen. I sent mine back. Apparently the Fold6 is the last Fold that does NOT have the camera cutout in the screens.

So far the experience has been great. Still trying to get used to the small front screen (compared to the 24U) and doing more mult app tasks. There is a learning curve to use the big inner screen. The phone is very slim, even with a case, it is almost the same size as the 24U. Battery life is great, as good as my 24U. Gaming is beautiful. Pair with a mobile controller (like a Gamesir G8+) you got a great handheld device. Great job Samsung. Keep improving the fold line and there will be a lot more customers switching from IOS to Android.

Firstly, fingerprint and facial recognition is much improved on my old S24 Ultra. Love that it's on the side button and not the screen, where the protective screen interfered with it before. Camera is wonderful, as expected, love the flexibility of the larger screen when I want it, means I don't always have to find my glasses before reading a Message :) Managed to find a good case in the same dark green as the phone, although would have loved to be able to get this model in the Pistachio colour but, first world problems hey?

I just received my z fold 8 ultra yesterday, the battery seems to drop quite fast when watching videos and multitasking. The hinge seems durable. The phone seems more responsive than my s25. The crease is almost invisible. Even though I have just received it yesterday, the phone seems quite durable. However, this phone is a tad heavier than my S25, I'm not quite used to it yet. It is a trade off for productivity tho. One thing that quite bother me is the quality of the speaker. I'm trading the featherweight s25 with nice speaker for a z fold 8 ultra with a huge potential of productivity and a great camera. I hope this is a good trade

The hinge mechanism is far smoother and easier to open. The screen brightness boost makes a big difference (as does the anti-reflective layer on the inner screen) and the ultra wide camera upped to 50px really does make for more detailed photos. The faster charging is great too, I really notice it when in a rush to top up (though the battery is lasting longer already, the extra MAh really help). Plus the Shadow Green colourway is gorgeous. My favourite colour anyway, so it was a no brainer!

Watching YouTube videos on a larger screen and playing a few mobile games on the big screen also helps with eye strains. However, as a nitpick, I do wish the front screen was a bit bigger. I understand it would cost more, which means I will need to pay more, but I wouldn't mind it if I also get a decently bigger screen on the front. I upgraded from the S24 Ultra, so I still need to get used to the smaller screen and smaller keyboard. For a guy with big-ish hands, the small keyboard does annoy me a bit. It all happened when I bought my wife are Galazy S26 ultra, I was looking fold with good battery life and the durability also with display and some like Zfold came up on Google that samsung is speculating on this. And I told my self no matter the time I will wait and on my membership samsung a notification came up for me to pick what I like, I selected mobile, electronic as my favourite because I look samsung product my washing machine is samsung, I also use galaxy S25 before I traded it in for Z fold 8 ultra and I also wish to change my TV to samsung too. I chose to upgrade because the size, battery, and internals were all major upgrades and I couldn't be happier. I mainly watch videos on my phone but with the new cameras I am excited to be able to take much better and high quality photos. I was blown away by the difference in weight and thickness of the phone and how much nicer it is it have a more traditional sized screen comparable to other candy bar phones while still being able to use the internal screen. I chose the Fold Ultra 8 for my newer version, and it is a wonderful product. It has the same basic features as the 6, but with great improvements. The phone is thinner, lighter, has a bigger screen, and new features. I have enjoyed working more with Gemini to accomplish a few tasks quicker and can't wait to spend a little more time exploring. The battery is pretty long lasting, likley due to optimized OneUi9 and the silicon carbon battery. I can get 7-8 hours of real usage with this beast. 2. Cameras and videos are pretty good for a foldable device, I like the fact that I can use expert raw to customize some settings to get better quality results. 3. The galaxy AI features often come in handy for work and travels. The 7 year of promised updates also a great plus. 4. Some feedback for future improvements- improve the telephone lens for better zoom and night photography, make it dual physical nano sim instead of single sim.

They have lessened the crease, put better cameras in and it comes with the latest android software. I have been a Fold user since the Fold 3 and I don't see myself going back. I use the multitasking split screen feature almost everyday. The phone is buttery smooth and feels like a normal candy bar phone when Folded. I am really enjoying my experience with this phone and I'm still learning how to take and edit pictures in a more creative way.
